Belo Horizonte is the capital of the State of Minas Gerais, located close to São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Considered one of the cities by the UN as the city with the best quality of life in Latin America. It has a population of 2 million inhabitants with great economic and cultural activity. It has important monuments, parks and museums, such as the Pampulha Art Museum, the Arts and Crafts Museum, the PUC Minas Natural Science Museum, the Praça da Liberdade Cultural Circuit, the Pampulha Architectural Complex, the Central Market and Savassi, and events of great repercussion, such as the International Theater Festival, Stage and Street (FIT-BH), International Short Film Festival and the International Meeting of Literatures in Portuguese.
